The Yagachi River starts near the picturesque hill city of Chikmagalur in Southern India. Snaptrude Inc., in association with Access Developers Pvt. Ltd., invites students and professionals in Architecture and Design to design and develop a master plan for the resort using Snaptrude, our proprietary cloud-based design solution for the AEC Industry.
THE CHALLENGE
Participants are required to develop a master plan for a Resort comprising 250 Villas of different configurations, 70+ row villas and a Club House with banquet spaces, a multi-purpose sports stadium, pub and lounge bar, and themed cafes etc.
The overall streetscape and green areas will also be designed as part of the master plan. Participants will be provided with concept villa designs. However, the concept design and plan for the Resort & Clubhouse will be developed. Additional outdoor amenities such as lawns, tennis courts and others can be included if required.
A detailed brief with areas, site plans and other critical information will be provided to registered participants over email.

The site opens into the Yagachi River with spectacular views from three sides.

JUDGING CRITERIA
Participants will be judged based on the following:
Important: The villas need not be re-designed or detailed in 3D. We recommend showing them on the master plan as simple 3D representations.
The total prize up for grabs is 2000 USD, distributed as follows:
Participants will design and deliver the project as a model on Snaptrude. The design/concept will be explained to the jury with the help of the collaborative features available on Snaptrude.
Once the design is ready to be shared, the participant(s) is requested to invite [email protected] to their model to confirm their submission. Participants are allowed to edit their designs till the final deadline (even if shared with Snaptrude).
The Competition is open to all Designers, Students and Professionals and is not limited to Architects or Urban Planners. Participants are allowed to work alone or in teams. We highly recommend a team of 3-5 members given the scale of the design.
There is no restriction on the age of the participants. We welcome participants of all ages from students to experienced professionals.
